Bungee Dog Leashes
Bungee dog leashes are a new and improved way to walk, train, and manage your pet more effectively, and with less effort. They have been proven to be helpful aids in making all these activities much more pleasant. The following information should provide encouragement and hope for anyone who is seeking an easier way to handle a dog.
There are quite a few of these pet accessories available, and some of the basic characteristics are common with all of them. Made with elastic cores, all are constructed to alleviate the pressure on a dog when they are pulling against a person. The bungee leash serves as a type of shock absorber, where the pressure is decreased, and not concentrated on the dog’s neck, shoulders, and back like it is with a standard leash.
The bungee dog leashes will also minimize the hand stress on the person walking or training a dog. This can be a tremendous relief for a person with arthritis or other physical conditions. A reduction in pressure makes them easier to hold, without having to wrap the leash around the hand.
All leashes have a tendency to get tangled quite easily. Another nice feature of the bungee dog leashes is that they do not tangle as often, like those made out of non-elastic materials. The elastic performance of the bungee core makes this possible, and helps the whole dog-walking experience to be a much more pleasurable one.
Some features of these bungee cord leashes are very helpful when used for training. Most of them will stretch 6’ to 10’, which allows adequate safety when teaching a dog it will not be rewarded when tugging the leash, and rewarded when it is relaxed. Some also have a self-correcting feature, which permits only the correct length of leash for training purposes.
It is best to purchase bungee dog leashes that do not have an excessive amount of stretch in them. This will help to avoid the sling shot effect you can get from some of them. Different sizes and styles are available for dogs up to 165 pounds. Extensions and couplers can be used easily with these leashes for walking more than one dog.

All-belt retractable leash suggestions please?
I have two dogs. one 6' chihuahua and a 14' chi/pek mix boy that is very strong. I have used a cord retractable with him that keeps burning my fingers. I was hoping the all belt kind wont hurt but i'm not sure if it matters. Also does anyone think I should try a coupler or buy 2 retractables. any suggestions will help.
